Hybrid and electric vehicle mechatronics technician

As a hybrid and electric vehicle mechatronics technician, you will be involved in the manufacture, service and maintenance of electric hybrid and electric road vehicles.  You will be familiar with high voltage safety precautions and practices and thus will be able to properly de-energise and energise vehicles.

Professional skills:

• repair, replacement, adjustment and fault diagnosis of high-voltage systems in motor vehicles;
• safe handling of high voltage (HV) batteries;
• repair and diagnosis of electrical equipment of motor vehicles;
• energising and de-energising electrical vehicles;
• maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles;
• managing electric and hybrid vehicle systems.
