Toolmaker
A toolmaker produces tools and tool elements, assembles them, puts the finished tools in operation, and carries out maintenance and repairs as well.
Technical knowledge:
- reading technical drawings, drawing sketch drawings
- performing, checking and documenting measurements and tests
- manufacturing shaping, machining tools, components and parts of instruments
- applying heat treatment to tools and instrument parts
- using traditional and modern technologies, operating machine equipment
- making and assembling tools and instruments from finished elements
- installing tools and instruments onto controlling machines, setting and putting them into operation
- performing trial production
- carrying out maintenance and fixing of tools and devices
Possible job positions at the plant:
- Press shop: cutting, tool maintenance, operating machines
- Service Center: cutting
- Body shop: maintenance, measurement technology
