Mercedes-Benz is ready for the most comprehensive product offensive in its history: over the next three years, the company plans to start production of more than 40 vehicles across three continents. With the “Next Level Production” program, Mercedes-Benz is using digitalization and automation to make its production more flexible, efficient and sustainable.
The product offensive will kick off at the Bremen and Kecskemét plants. In Bremen, production will start in the first quarter of 2026 with the new all-electric GLC (provisional figures: energy consumption combined: 14.9–18.8 kWh/100 km | CO₂ emissions combined: 0 g/km | CO₂ class: A[1], followed in Hungary in the second quarter by the future C-Class with EQ technology, which has yet to be unveiled. Production of the new electric GLC will take place flexibly on the same production line as the Mercedes-Benz EQE, as well as GLC models with internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains. In line with the local-for-local strategy, production of the long-wheelbase versions for the Chinese market will start at the Beijing plant at a later date.
