There are 7 majors at Neumann János University which introduces dual courses in autumn including Engineering Management, Business Administration and Management and International Business Economics.

The structure of our dual university education:

Our students take part in an education that lasts for 3,5 years. The theoretical education takes place at the Neumann János University, their practical, on-the-job training is at the Mercedes-Benz Plant in Kecskemét.

What does dual education mean?

Students can put the technical knowledge they gained during their theoretical education to practice at the plant, thus they can really understand the differences between theoretical and practical knowledge. As opposed to a conventional university degree a dual diploma will provide not just theoretical, but technical, practical knowledge as well for the students. They, as automotive industry experts of the future, may also learn a great deal about the culture of the plant and will have a valuable insight into what an engineer's job includes at the Mercedes-Benz Plant in Kecskemét in their everyday work.

During the education our students have the opportunity to take part in various projects. While they spend their practical education at the plant participants can complete their trade practice in certain trade areas at the company. They become familiar with the production system and the structure of that area, and learn about the daily tasks and work of engineers working at the plant. Students can have their language skills improved a lot by way of working together with German colleagues in the course of various projects and meetings.

Dual training students are offered a thesis topic, so they get to explore a certain process and solve related issues while working on their diploma. During the training period students have the opportunity to travel abroad as well to take part in projects.

Process of selection:

The process of selecting dual education students take place in several steps, in the period between November and February. During this process we evaluate the skills and abilities of the applicants.
