Mercedes-Benz School
The Mercedes-Benz School is located in a separated wing of the Lestár Péter Education Center in Kvarc street, in the location of the Homokbánya town district of Kecskemét. The school building went through complete renovation before the start of the 2018 school term, so students can now learn in modern, well-equipped classes, group rooms and education halls, under excellent circumstances. School events take place in the renewed great hall and in the gym, which is located on the ground floor. Students have their meals in the school canteen, which is equipped with a modern hot-plate kitchenette and a training room. In the school yard students can use two playgrounds, an AstroTurf football field, a tennis court, a 100-m-long running track, a volleyball court, a long jump track and an outdoor gym with fitness equipment.
The „Mercedes-Benz Schule” is a German school, which means that the education is in compliance with the curriculum of Baden-Württemberg in Germany, and that the certificate that students receive is equivalent to the certificate issued in Germany. As from the 2015/2016 school year the school was opened to Hungarian children, too. Education takes place both in German and Hungarian languages, with the joint cooperation of a German and a Hungarian teacher: there are always two teachers in the classroom working with the children. In the interest of making the education really effective children learn in small classes. In addition to having their studies according to the curriculum students learn about the German culture and acquire active, practical German language skills as well. Learning at the school is complemented by a motivating environment and colorful programs and activities inside and outside of the school as well.
